Public Health Reform: Improving Health Commission Stakeholder Survey

We want to hear your perspective on what you need to help you improve health.

Background

Scotland’s current health challenges are complex. We have:

·         an ageing population

·         enduring health inequalities

·         deprivation

·         poverty

·         changes in the pattern of disease

·         increasing pressures on health and social care services.

As a result, the Scottish Government and COSLA started a programme of public health reformThe vision of public health reform is "a Scotland where everyone thrives."

To do this, the Scottish Government and COSLA have created a series of commissions to:

  • Work with a range of people to better understand and plan what is needed in order to deliver better health gains for people and communities.

  • Use these insights to help in the creation of a new national public health body for Scotland: Public Health Scotland

One of these commissions is the Improving Health Commission. COSLA and SG appointed the Integration Joint Board Chief Officers group and NHS Health Scotland to lead the Improving Health Commission.

The Improving Health Commission has done some work setting out the challenge facing health improvement and describing the current health improvement landscape.  We would value your contribution, via this survey, in taking this work forward.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CLOSING DATE FOR THIS SURVEY IS FRIDAY 23RD NOVEMBER 2018
