Childsmile Resources Review

Childsmile logo

The Childsmile programme and NHS Health Scotland are undertaking a review of Childsmile digital and print resources.  The purpose of the project is to review the reach, suitability, and accessibility of these resources, to discover whether the resources are fit for purpose and to identify areas for development or improvement.

The project aims are:

  • To understand the dissemination of the resources in more detail
  • To ensure the materials are helping/assisting/complimenting the delivery of the Childsmile programme
  • To examine if there are any gaps in the materials that would further assist the delivery of the Childsmile programme

The research findings will be used to enhance the representativeness and sustainaility of the Childsmile resources, and to produce recommendations or options for future Childsmile information resources.

You have been asked to take part in this project as you use or are familiar with the Childsmile resources.  As a professional who works with Childsmile, your views on the resources are important to the programme.

Your views will be anonymised for the project report. In the survey you will be asked for the Health Board area that you work in and your job title, but no other information. At the end of the survey we will ask if you would like to give your name and contact details to take part in any further research for the project. It is entirely your decision if you wish to leave your details. All information will be kept securely on password protected computers.

Participation is voluntary and you have the right to change your mind at any time.  If you change your mind, you can contact the Childsmile Researcher using the contact details below.  Withdrawing from the project will not affect your employment or legal rights.

You can contact the Childsmile Researcher or the Health Improvement Officer from Health Scotland who can discuss the project in more detail.  If you have a complaint you can contact the Childsmile Researcher or the Health Improvement Officer in the first instance.  If you would like to speak to someone else about the project you can also contact the Childsmile Programme Manager, details below.
